The American Christian singer Rebecca St James will be the main performer of the concert during the National Youth Day in Tabor on 15 Aug 2007. Its aim is to support the work of the Caritas Olomouc in Haiti.CZECH
Tabor: The week-long event in Tabor, National Youth Day, starts on Monday 13 Aug and one of its peak will be the Wednesday evening. The 'Concert for Haiti' starts at 6.00 pm with the performance of Slovakian Christian singer Richard Canaky, the American singer Rebecca St James, who is the main performer of the evening, has her turn at 7.55 pm. Other well-known Czech bands will also appear. The on-line broadcasting of the Rebecca's concert will be available at www.radio7.cz.
Born in Sydney, Australia, in 1977, Rebecca St James now lives in Franklin, Tennessee (USA). She is a Grammy Award winning Christian pop rock singer, songwriter, and published author. She has become an unofficial spokesperson for 'True Love Waits' and her third book, 'Wait for Me: Rediscovering the Joy of Purity in Romance' (2002), addressed the issue. She also supports the Pro-Life movement. Her first book, '40 Days with God: A Devotional Journey' (1996, 2001), has been released in Czech recently. Official website: rsjames.com.
The concert's profit is aimed to support the poorest country of the western hemisphere, Haiti, and in its course, the participants will get acquainted with the work of Father Roman Musil, who serves in Baie-de-Henne, Haiti.
